By
your own transport along A27 going west (direction Lewes to Brighton):- - On a bend, just before you reach the road sign shown here, bear left to go up the rising slip road indicating University of Sussex and University of Brighton (and Falmer & Rottingdean B2123), then turn right at the first mini-roundabout, then cross over the flyover, then continue straight on, then turn left into Southern Ring Road and follow its turns, down to the bottom, and car parks are on your left. (If you leave the university in this direction going west, actually the A27 bypasses Brighton and goes towards Worthing, but soon after this junction there is a junction at which you can keep left to join the A270 to Brighton, or bear right to stay on the A27 (towards Worthing) and later follow signs for A23 to London.) |

From Falmer House Road or from the car parks indicated above, go up the slope,
then turn left into North-South Road (arrowed).
About halfway along North-South Road is a brick circular building, which
is the Chichester lecture theatre, turn left, go down two flights of
stairs, and go into the Chichester 1 building. If you want to see the a map of the whole campus, see www.sussex.ac.uk/about/images/campusmap/campus-map.jpg |

If
you are with a disabled person and a wheelchair, then you might be able to stop
briefly in the North-South Road outside the Chichester Lecture Theatre, let out
the disabled person and wheelchair, park, then return to the person and proceed
to the C.L.T.
Sussex University’s website www.sussex.ac.uk/equalities/1-2-3.html
includes access to Chichester 1 Building:-
“Level 1 is entered from the North South Road by the loading bay, under
the bridge. Follow the
straight ramp in the loading bay through the doors at the top.
Turn left before a set of fire doors, and the lift is then on your right.
To reach the large Chichester Lecture Theatre C1013 on Level 0, take the
lift down one level and leave the lift from the other side, enter the corridor
and the Common Room is then to the left. Pass
through the Common Room to a set of doors which give access to the front of the
Lecture Theatre.
Level 0 can be accessed via the north-south pedestrian route and the wheelchair
friendly ramp built on the west side of the building.
This is where the IT Services help desk exist as well as a computer
cluster room and separate ‘Large Teaching Room’, as well as corridor access
to the café area. INFORMATICS is accessible but the door is security code
locked and you will need the code or arrange to meet someone.”
